God's Calling
Pastor John David and his wife, Nathalie, have both grown-up in Christian families and Bible-believing churches their whole lives. Pastor John David accepted Jesus Christ as His personal, Lord and Saviour at the age of fourteen (read about his testimony in detail), while Nathalie did so at the age of six years-old. Since then, they experienced all childhood and adolescent years under the influence of solid preaching and teaching from God's Word. This had a direct impact on their individual decision-making regarding the future they envisioned as adults.
The first decision they made was to follow the Lord's leading in marrying each other on October 24th, 2020. Since their union, God has graciously blessed them with two daughters: Clara-Grace and Chloe-Anne.
After years of serving in various ministries at their home church, Montreal Bible Baptist Church, the Lord began to deal with their hearts about full-time ministry, as missionaries. Several doors of opportunity presented before them, but they wanted to be certain that their family was in God's perfect will.
Through months of fervent prayer, Godly counsel from their Pastors, and ultimately following the Lord's clear direction, the Policarpio Family answered when a "Macedonian Call" rang out from King James Bible Baptist Church of Gatineau, Quebec.
Nathalie's father, Pastor Noel Guzman, had founded King James Bible Baptist Church in January of 2021. After three years in the work, God began to call the Guzmans to another endeavour. As the Lord would see fit, on Sunday, September 29th, 2024, the church congregation unanimously voted John David to take over the Pastorate. Nathalie works alongside John David, assisting in administrative duties and children's ministry.
